Belflower's wonderfully crafted words have a powerful pace and momentum. It's true to life, but also somewhat not, putting us in the same realm that the speaker inhabits. The doubts about life, where we should be, where we are and what we deserve ring true for a point in time that was so very preoccupied with introspection. Equally true though, are the words that speak to an inner, hidden wildness and magic that we're expected to forget but never really goes away.

I am very burned out by and have little interest in Zoom plays... but I would watch this Zoom play. Even in 2022. It was very sweet.

If Kimberly Belflower has a playwright super power it's the ability to be so disarmingly honest that it cuts you right to the core. This play cut me right to the core and split me open in the best way. It made me giggle and it made me cry and it made me want to watch something on Zoom again (which is a feat). I want to give this character a big hug and be her best friend in the whole wide world. TL;DR - this is beautiful.
