I played Petal in this beautiful play (At Left Edge Theatre's original short play fest last year), and it was a true honor. The director and I wanted more of her story. Deep Breath offers a simple set-up with very intimate, entertaining, and tantalizing elements that leave the audience to question what exactly is going on. It's funny, heartfelt, and definitely thought-provoking. The invasion of Ukraine had just begun when I took this role, and I was deeply upset- Petal offered me a way to explore my own humanity, and I am grateful for that chance.
