Enter the seedy underbelly of an early-2010s Jewish day school and meet mafiosos Freddie, Donna, Sylvia, and Jane — members of an exclusive after school fan club that serves as a front for a successful fan fiction laundering ring. They'll write anything for you, for a price.

i can fix him is about being a fan, being an uncool girl, and navigating befriending your fellow uncool girls.

I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much while reading a play. Leiber is an astute observer of the obsessions of teenage girls, and she brings her characters to life with wit, candor, and care. I also found much to admire in her rendering of this particular brand of internet culture. In short, this play is a hoot, and I need to see it staged in the immediate future. #JPP15thContest.

This play is a true page-turner! Its teenage voices are authentic and hyper-intelligent; I love that the playwright allows them to be smart, strong, and complicated young women. It was so cool to see a play with a Jewish backdrop but where Judaism was not something restrictive but a major part of their lives that these characters loved and enjoyed. So glad I got to read this play for #JPP15thContest and excited to see its future life!

As someone who grew up a weird girl on Tumblr in the 2010s, I felt so seen by this play. It perfectly captures what it's like to not only be a teenage girl but an uncool teenage girl and the emotions that can bring up in you. Also, I laughed out loud at several points during this play and gasped at one of the twists. More plays about fanfiction!
