This play will break your heart and ask you to do the deep work you've always needed in order to heal the wounds you've been ignoring too long. This story and characters will conjure up a longing, howling ache you didn't know you need to unearth. Breathe deep as you read, considering with a nurturing glance the lost parts of you, of a friend you love (and may have lost). Many of us will relate and feel called to walk through the (amazingly funny) pain Jones asks us to visit, for our own sake. A brave, hungry, hurtling journey.

Heartfelt, funny, gut-wrenching. All of these things are true in this muscular play. The play is so theatrical in the way that it moves from scene to scene, moment to moment, character to character. The (repeated) unraveling of Everett's life is so engaging, even when infuriating (in the best of ways). It was a gift to get to know this play and this playwright at the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference.

A shotgun blast of emotion; both gut-wrenchingly cathartic and darkly humorous. Jones speaks from his soul, and when you're dealing with suicide, heartbreak, and friendship; where else would you want it written from?

A superb tour de force that is by turns dark and comic, unsettling and oddly uplifting. Or maybe I was just uplifted by Mr. Jones's virtuosity, and how it shows the power of great theater. Bravo!!

This play is accumulation of raw and real emotions that tantalize the imagination. This play gives you a real and powerful view into the mind of someone vehemently trying to make do with their circumstances in a way that is dynamic and interesting. Jones leaves you feeling as though you stepped into their minds eye and takes you on a journey you can't resist.

This show is a ride you are not prepared for. Jones doesn't pull any punches in this masterpiece and creates an environment where the audience is warned, yet, surprised. Depressed, yet outraged. Disgusted, yet intrigued. You'll find yourself on the edge of your seat as the world of Everett is laid bare in front of you. How you feel about him is up to you, but one thing is for certain, you can't look away. Or at least, I know I couldn't. Great work that needs to be staged!

Contrary to a line in the play, I definitely do not think this writer is an idiot... What this writer has accomplished is a beautiful tragedy that tries to distance the reader with exposition before pulling the rug out from underneath you. The characters are familiar and real and brutally, upsettingly honest... when they aren’t embellishing their own story. The characters break up the trauma by addressing the audience directly and arguing over each other until we learn the whole story. A beautiful tale about a topic that is anything but.
