Listened to this as an audio play on Theatrical Shenanigans. Loved the funny, fast dialogue between Steph and Marston. Would love to see this.Well done Christopher Plumridge.

I just had the pleasure of hearing this hysterical play on the Theatrical Shenanigans Podcast. Of all the ways to go, Martston Moore is the unluckiest of the unlucky. CHRISTOPHER PLUMRIDGE's dark comedy will delight audiences. And God? She is just adorable.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

Despite having recommended this piece before, as a reader, I felt it needed another recommendation after I had the great privilege of producing it for Theatrical Shenanigans. Chris has a gift for creating wonderfully unique scenarios and this play not only offers that but a hilarious story told by Marston Moore as to how he got to the pearly gates. While it could be done with a simple set it offers fabulous roles to be performed and a wonderfully funny story to tell.

  • Paul Donnelly: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

Divine madness courses through the saga of Marston Moore's untimely demise. The usual heavenly suspects (God, St. Peter) are novely rendered and add to the general tone of sublime lunacy.

Fun craziness, seems to be the rage of late, was glad to see the suggestion and happy for Chris to see some success from it, well worth the read, should be a helluva fun production!

  • Beckett Flynn: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

I knew this was going to be a fun ride as soon as St Peter said she was standing not in front of the pearly gates, but “gates made of the finest pearls”. Plumridge is a wizard with words and this death-comedy crackles with life. Very funny. Would be even funnier on stage — which I think is the best compliment one can give to a comic playwright.

  • Martin VanBuren III: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

Deliciously divine in its premise, setup, and knockdown of every line and joke. Every character is dynamic with an enormous amount of potential for comedic moments and timing. The pacing is wonderful and doesn't drag its heels to the finish line for a phenomenal ride of a short story.

I love how Chris' mind works. Seriously, I can't explain how it works, I just love how it works. There's a touch of predictability in all of this unpredictability and I love it. Stephanie, Lucy, Gary, and Marston all make a wonderful cast of characters. Especially Gary, who I imagine exists in other shows written by Chris. The flow of the show, the escalation, the comedy (both physical and verbal). All of it, this is truly a fantastic show and a wonderful story. I do hope he gets into the heaven that makes him feel the most accepted. BRAVO!

If you want to put a smile on your face then I highly recommend you read this short play. It’s charming and wonderful and I’m so glad I found this. I have read more of Christopher’s work, and as in the other cases, he proves to have complete command of his character’s paths and he does so while charming his way on to the end. I loved this piece. Bravo.

Huh...who would have thunk? The Pearly Gates are a little...different than we purported. I guess everyone's a little bit correct. If Plumridge's Heaven is in anyway accurate to the real thing, perhaps death will be something to look forward to! If we can pal around the way Marston and "Steph" quickly manage in this guffaw-inducing play, I don't see much issue aside from the being dead part. Definitely check out this short. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
