    I didn't know what to expect going into this play and I left deeply moved. A play about memory and history and needing to belong somewhere. Loved the device of the power point presentation. Loved how these characters are given names throughout the play. I don't know much about bathhouse culture and I walked away from this play feeling its importance to queer culture. I hope this play gets produced all over. I really loved this play and the passion for its subject matter the playwright has

    This play transported me into a world where a simple powerpoint presentation project that takes place in a classroom, transformed back into what it once was, and what it was meant to always be. A bathhouse. This moving, poetic, and funny play has given me a whole new perspective of the idea of communal bathing, and the longing for queer acceptance. Valles has given me a story that I will think about for a very very long time. I want to try and go to a bathhouse now. I’m due for a cleansing.

    Loved this play. Smart, funny, endlessly inventive, ebulliently theatrical. This kaleidoscopic haunted PowerPoint presentation delves into histories of systematic (and internalized) marginalization & the stigmatization of queer and latin bodies within U.S. culture. But it's even way funnier and more generous and wilder than that premise already makes it sound. Valles hurtles us through an anti-4th-wall wormhole of imagined pasts, buried fantasies, phantom sorrows, and spectral desires. Partake!

A NOTE ON CASTING/CHARACTERS: This play can be done with 6 actors, or a very large cast, if you so desire. Below, there are suggested character tracks for actors, but have fun with re-configuration if needed. Many of the characters are concepts, ideas, grievances, ghosts, or irritations. Please, play inside the garish, grotesque, cartoonish, cruel, horny, the muscle, the spectral, the heart. This play is a group project for perverts. Go for it. Poppers are strongly encouraged.
