A wonderful older actor monologue with depth and significance. The what if story of a man's life. We all have thoughts about the choices we make and fail to make and decide not to make. This short exercise works nicely for a short play festival. I recommend!

Don Baker’s monologue on the “road not taken” and whether it is better to accept our choices in life from the perspective of gratitude for what we have, or to recognize that even with a great life, acceptance of regret shows maturity and wisdom. I commend Don for a great monologue for an older actor; they are few and far between, but this is one that packs a punch. Wonderful and thought-provoking.

We had the great privilege of reading this as part of our Sunday night play-reading and it's a fabulously powerful piece that speaks to everyone who has thoughts about the 'what ifs' of their life. It's wonderfully emotional and powerful in equal stead and offers a chance for a fabulously powerful performance!
