A strong piece of social justice type of theatre that is both personal and interactive. The characters serve as our tour guides in the play. This play has moments of education but also moments that give those who struggle to wrap their heads around gender identity a slap in the face. This is a play that stands out given its fearlessness and authenticity with bringing fresh voices to the forefront.

The Divine Alchemists is a fantastically whimsical coming-of-age story that features some of the best-written monologues for queer folx that I've seen in a long time. Fantastic play with plenty of fun for directors and actors alike to play with. Love this play!

Only the second sentence into the play and I was already hooked. Dismantling gender roles injected with humor, mixed with a splash of magical realism (3 words: Misgender Deflection Remote). Reflections and realizations cement this group of young together while they dissect perspectives. “The Divine Alchemists” is an incredible modern coming-of-age tale, recommend to any college theatre program searching for inclusive, fresh stories to tell!
