    Perfect.

This play reads like a rage filled queer manifesto, taking on the toxicity of suburban life, and the loss that comes with queer people renouncing their queerness for favor of suburban acceptance. Acerbic, biting, and all so true, the play (and foot notes) point us toward the reality of being queer in a society that wants you to be anything but.

As we go through urban life, the spark of anti-suburban rage gets buried under layers of pro-suburban affectation - or would if not for worm and rubio who bring that rage screaming to the surface. Christian Flynn's life is a fuck is a war cry to fight for the identity of souls sucked up by weddings and funerals. The monologues are exhilarating rants of fire. The garbage - stomping and venting obscenities emerge as vital counter rituals to the vanquishing orthodoxy of spirit sanitation. Rarely will you encounter a short work of such potent urgency.

Goddamn. Flynn's voice is one of the most powerful I've encountered. The rage and fury of this piece is so palpable, but there's a structure and a build here that does not become lost in the fire. Loss hits different when it's not caused by death. Physical death, at least. A colossal short play, immensely urgent, and full of wrath, both stylistic (theatre, baybee) and genuine.

Poetic, provocative and full of rage. The most impressive thing about this work is its fury-filled form. Christian Flynn has a unique, profound and honest voice that is missing a lot from contemporary writing. What happens when our worlds change without our permission? This fucking play. Very brave and strangely lyrical. Highly recommended.

This raw, no fucks left to give play is unrelenting -- in all the good ways. Flynn shows us a side of humanity that is not exactly seen. Bravo on going there. Brilliantly executed.

All of us have that young person's spirit in us--that spirit that used to fight and be on the side of all that was right for the world and change for the people in the world who were in the wrong and all of us have that moment where we realize that the fight is gone or died (literarily and figuratively) a little and we've given into that Kool aide that and realize it's we're done to the last few of us still holding tight to the fight. I agree with Rubio's assessment about weddings. They do blow ass.

Wow, this play hits so very hard, not just in it's language (where I applaud the playwright for pushing the boundaries in a way I haven't seen before) but in the raw nature of the emotions shown here. These two souls are thrust into a situation and place where they do not feel natural to be. It's fast, slick, the monologues so very powerful.
    Simply profound!

An awesome execution of a compelling premise! This piece moves and inspires through private and unapologetic contemplation between friends as they mourn the soul a mutual friend and who they used to be. Along with thoughtfully criticizing the world that killed said soul. A wonderful 10-minute play!

Excellent. A gauntlet thrown directly at a world in crisis and a society too comfortable and stagnant to sense the anger that's now amplified to a point where it cannot be ignored. Flynn describes with furious clarity the ways in which identity is cut through by class lines. This short play is a true rallying call for action, for organization, for confronting the rot at the heart of it all, along with a practical and sensible solution for the world's problems. Everyone must read this, everyone must see this.
