One of the most original and unique plays I've seen. Refreshingly honest, direct, heartfelt, and funny. Reads well as a script and plays well on stage. A finalist at the 2023 B Street Comedy Festival. Nice work.

What a unique story, taking advantage of the dog sled conceit and the mystery surrounding Erik's disappearance. I particularly love the poem, reminding me of the lost treasure poems that crop up now and then. The two characters are great foils, and both have virtues and flaws. Nicely done!

As someone who has spent half her life in NYC and the second half in Minnesota, Below Zero spoke to me on so many levels. Watts explores a friendship? A kinship? through the lens of a beautiful and deadly winter. There’s an early mystery, an adventure, some hard truths, oh - and dogs, too. The dialogue is irresistible as are the characters. It’s a wonderfully theatrical and compelling take on a female-buddy story. Bring on the dog sled - it’s a fun, heart-stopping ride. Amazing opportunities for designers. Produce it. I’ll buy the 1st ticket.

What a brilliant, strong story of two young women at complete odds with each other as the ex-girlfriend and the current girlfriend of dog musher Erik. Nellie and Mary Anne seem to have little in common except their unresolved ending with Erik who is now missing in the Northern Minnesota wilderness. This lovely yet dark comedy explores the themes of female friendship, the loss of youth, and not giving up hope. Anna Watts has written a beautiful two-hander for two talented actresses Mush on!
