A diabolical horror-comedy! Dark, strange, silly - but also extremely entertaining. I had an awesome time listening to this on the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast!

It's not easy being a teen in the early mid-21st century. Constant feelings of panic, mom thinks you're a demon, your psychiatrist wants to give you Adderall when what you really need is Prozac... And then your absentee father shows up, and he is not at all what you expected... It's enough to drive a girl crazy. And make and audience go nuts with laughter. This is one smartly written and downright hilarious one-act. Devilishly funny.

This play perfectly captures a typical mother-daughter relationship, where both refuse to see the others' perspective until it literally rises out of hell to force an understanding. I pity the poor psychologist/psychiatrist (same thing) who is caught in the middle and forced to reevaluate her worldview and medical credentials - reality is a bummer when it interferes with your degree. Great dialogue, fun twists, would love to see this staged.

This is a fun one, and with an unexpected twist! Really refreshing take on mental health, organized religion, and pop culture.

My Daughter's A Demon hits its comedy beats very well, and tells a gripping and funny story about a girl on the brink of a breakdown and the circumstances that got her there. The play weaves the fantastical with the wildly entertaining; the pace is quick, the jokes land and stick, and the camp levels are off the charts. I highly recommend!
