by Cesario Tirado-Ortiz

[FULL LENGTH] ten years ago, four girls were hunted down by cold blooded killers and miraculously survived. today, three people are forcibly reunited at a therapeutical retreat for women to cope with their collective trauma. this examination of the slasher final girl trope asks the question: does all trauma make equal?

This script has so much life and energy woven into it, from the dialogue all the way down to the formatting. In my opinion it's the strongest horror play I've ever read. This does a better job of showing the aftermath of a slasher film than just about every legacy reboot combined, and does it while giving excellent representation to queer experiences and trauma survivors.

Loved this riff on horror tropes. Wonderful roles for trans actors. Need to see this produced with all the practical stage magic.
