  • Rebecca Kane: it's been ten years since everyone died

A refreshing and important addition to the NYC theatre scene as a whole, not to mention the horror play genre. Deeply moving, legitimately scary, and easily stageable, I'd be so excited to see this play in theatres across the country as soon as possible.

  • Courtney Taylor: it's been ten years since everyone died

Funny, dark, gripping, and utterly moving. A scary and thrilling exploration of the impact of trauma, the difficulties of being made whole again, and the sublime allure of rejecting that effort altogether. Incredible roles for trans and queer actors. A raw, bloody, and delicious treat for any audience. One of my favorite plays of all time.

  • William Meurer: it's been ten years since everyone died

"It's Been Ten Year's Since Everyone Died" is an exceptionally crafted and thoughtful exploration on gender identity, trauma, and the classic horror tropes we all know and love. Oritz's characters are richly complex; and when left alone together in a house with no signal, and no way out, they create a ticking time bomb of suspense and gore that is sure to leave any horror fan satisfied.

This script has so much life and energy woven into it, from the dialogue all the way down to the formatting. In my opinion it's the strongest horror play I've ever read. This does a better job of showing the aftermath of a slasher film than just about every legacy reboot combined, and does it while giving excellent representation to queer experiences and trauma survivors.

Loved this riff on horror tropes. Wonderful roles for trans actors. Need to see this produced with all the practical stage magic.
