SHORT TWO-ACT (1M/2F) Christopher is a young transgender male who lives in the 21st century. He is a descendant of the MacGregor clan, a Scottish family with a history of rebellion and outlawry. Christopher is fascinated by his heritage and wants to learn more about it. After a sudden power outage, he finds himself back in the 17th century. He seeks to meet his ancestor, Rob Roy MacGregor, the legendary leader of the clan and a national hero. However, things go wrong when Christopher arrives in the wrong place and time and gets involved in a conflict between the MacGregors and their enemies. He also meets Jessica, a beautiful and spirited healer who lives in a nearby village. Christopher is drawn to Jessica but has to hide his true identity and mission from her. He soon realizes that he has a bigger role in history than he expected and has to choose between his love for Jessica and his loyalty to his clan. Will Christopher be able to change history for the better? Will he be able to return to his own time? Will he be able to win Jessica's heart? Jessica is independent, brave, and curious but also loyal, compassionate, and kind. Jessica dreams
of seeing the world beyond her village and having adventures. Jessica's life will change dramatically when she gets involved in Christopher's adventure and discovers the truth about him and herself.
ROB ROY MACGREGOR A famous Scottish outlaw and folk hero who lived in the 17th century. He was the
leader of the MacGregor clan and fought against the English and their allies.
