I adore these characters. This is such a fun way of sharing this process with the uninformed. It's relatable and funny and still respectful to others, including Harold the spleen, which is just such a funny bit! This is vaudeville for today and I love it!

I had the delight of seeing this play at the BTC Queer Voices Festival, and I instantly fell in love with it. Its delightfully goofy vaudeville and slapstick comedy are skillfully grounded by a core of meaningful emotion and true-earned love - for the self, the body, the past, and the future. Garcia's writing had the audience in stitches, while also hitting us close to the heart. One of the best works I've seen in the past several years!

A simultaneously HILARIOUS and very touching play! I had the pleasure of seeing it performed as part of Boston Theater Company's Queer Voice Festival and it was a huge hit. I've never seen this story talked about and Garcia does it in such an inventive and engaging way. Beautifully written and structured and takes us on a journey that changes how you think and feel - the perfect effect of a short play.

You know when it never occurred to you to personify your chest dysphoria as 2 aging vaudevillians who (don’t) work for you in an office setting but then you read a 10 minute play about it & you can’t imagine how you ever thought of it any other way? That’s this piece. Very funny, a lot of physical comedy to play with…but also a very sincere window into a nonbinary experience.

There are so many new and exciting stories to tell with non-binary characters. And in THANKS FOR THE MAMMARIES by Bailey Jordan Garcia we are gifted with a hilariously poignant and beautiful play that is a love letter to transness. The journey to feel comfortable and authentic in our own bodies is what everyone deserves, and this play delivers while also making us laugh and feel safe. Such a wonderful combination.
