Do You Think I'm Annoying?

What begins as a dispiriting search for their birth families through their untrustworthy adoption agency becomes an intimate-yet-volatile friendship built over their shared gallows humor, tempestuous insecurity, and debilitating terror of abandonment. DO YOU THINK I’M ANNOYING? is a coming-of-age cyclone exploring the grief of a forgotten loss, obsessive compulsion, and whether two people with opposing coping mechanisms can help each other through.

I was so moved by this play. A fantastic look into the lives of two teen girls that recently found out they were adopted and deal so differently with this information. I really connected with both characters as they try to navigate a friendship. Kayla's tendency to catastrophize and Brenna's tendency to run from her feelings felt so real. I loved the addition of the Mysterious Figure and how this character magically comes in and out of both of these girls' lives. Produce this play.
