Oh, Mince (Pies)! (from HOW MY PRINCE CHARMING TURNED OUT TO BE A FROG)

(short) An ANGLOPHONE and their FRENCH PARTNER get the house, and garage, ready for Christmas. But they have mice...or is that mouses?

Note: "Mince!" in French is a gentle expletive; a substitute to avoid using the "gros mos"/swear word "merde"

The multi-lingual word play is delightful and I can see this delivered in a fast paced comedic way, the way a couple that is very familiar with one another's quirks would converse. So relatable, even though I know little to no French. But so much fun.

The word play and misunderstanding between this couple, one English speaker and one French, make this play a real charmer. Mice, minced pies, and a clever reference to Sweeney Todd provide plenty of reasons to smile. Here’s hoping Harry manages to escape for many Christmases to come!

As Christmas approaches and the overwhelming reality is there’s not a lot of time to do everything, Syran brings me back to my “mouse Christmas” or is it “mice Christmas” or is it “mince Christmas” or “mice pies” or “mince pies” and does it matter? I laughed and laughed remembering my own personal Houdini and how mince pies do not attract mice. Well done! Come here for a fun present for the holiday! (Mice not included in present.)
