FULL-LENGTH PLAY: Brought together by the loss of a mutual high school classmate, three middle-aged men meet after decades and forge an unlikely connection. Seth, a quiet, kind-hearted Jewish novelist, is navigating seismic shifts in his family relationships and a disappointing string of flops following his bestselling debut novel. Javi, an easygoing Latino financial whiz turned stay-at-home-dad, seems to be wrestling with more feelings than he lets on beneath his wisecracking exterior. And William, a brilliant Black attorney on the cusp of a big career move, appears to have it all together … but appearances have misled him before. What begins as casual get-togethers for drinks or a game of basketball soon evolves into a legit friendship, as William, Seth, and Javi discover the unexpected solace that comes from sharing their stories — and their feelings — in ways most modern men aren’t taught to do. Their fledgling bond perseveres through adversity, and each mouse find the strength to face his own blind spots and navigate his midlife transitions with grace, thanks to the wisdom, humor, and unwavering support of his new old friends.

An excellent acting script for the right three actors. Three acquaintances discover how to navigate the crises in their lives and realize how much they've needed honesty and inner strength. This is not an easy journey as all three are flawed, but the dialogue and interdynamics promise an evening that will stay with you long after.

This isn't a story about father and a son or a husband and a wife. It's a story about grown, adult men dealing with the gap between their dreams and the reality as they age. The conversations are real, and so are the friendships. I honestly can't remember ever seeing a movie or play that is centered on male friendships like this. I saw the full production, and I was blown away.

This play observes how people we may overlook early in life can turn out to be those who understand us most when we’ve all been through the wringer after a few decades. Not because they are perfect or brilliant, or even especially sensitive or insightful, but because our experience leads us to choose to show up for each other on repeat, flaws & all.
