ONE ACT (12M) Sgt. Alex Reyes is a modern Marine serving in Iraq when an explosion sends him back through time to fight in famous battles that shaped American history. Alex first finds himself at Lexington and Concord 1775 during the Revolutionary War. Despite confusion over his sudden time travel, Alex's military experience helps the colonial militia inflict damage on the British. Alex next lands at Omaha Beach on D-Day in WWII. His combat knowledge and leadership aid his unit during the harrowing Normandy invasion. Alex then gets pulled into a Vietnam jungle patrol that the Viet Cong ambushes. Though disconnected from this era, Alex helps save his fellow soldiers using guerrilla warfare tactics. After surviving in the jungles of Vietnam, Alex travels back to join the Continental Army at Valley Forge in 1777. He draws upon his grit to motivate demoralized soldiers to persevere through the harsh winter. Finally, Alex is transported to Appomattox in 1865 where he witnesses the Civil War's end and gains perspective on the true costs of these pivotal conflicts that shaped America. Alex learns invaluable lessons about war, sacrifice, and service throughout his travels while trying to find his way back home.
