Lee Lawing pulled the rug out from under me as surely as Betsy did to Andrew. And, in a fitting bit of karma, Andrew is the one who had this coming (after telling the police that she had wanted it back then). Revenge as sharp as a knitting needle.

A seemingly benign interaction on a park bench builds to a horrific revelation and a shocking act of retribution. The natural and engaging dialogue goes suddenly dark in the most skillful way. Betsy's final act and its motivation left me truly shaken.

Lee Lawing lures us into what could be just another pedestrian park bench play, but the mystery about the relationship between the two seniors on the bench builds until… Bam! A shocking reveal and conclusion as the mystery is solved. Excellent!
