-in-chief

The editor-in-chief of a college newspaper manages a divided Pennsylvania swing county newsroom as the impending 2016 presidential election looms over the United States. While all eyes are on the national stage, the editor-in-chief finds herself grappling with cataclysmic events much closer to home.

Hilarious and heartbreaking, filled with naturalistic, inventive dialogue and a brilliant plot that unfolds in a satisfying, devastating way. Every character is lovable, complex and gets their moment to shine. This play is phenomenal and very well suited to college aged actors and audiences. It speaks to 2016, to 2024, and to the whole American past and future. A play that gets more vital and necessary each day and will be a dramaturgical FEAST when it is inevitably performed in the far future.
