Eleanor, a young, ambitious woman with dreams of becoming an actress, and Thomas, a soldier grappling with the aftermath of war, find solace in each other's company amidst the journey's uncertainty. As the fog lifts, revealing a moonlit night, they make a pact to pursue their dreams and reunite on the same ferry, under the full moon, one year later. Eleanor immerses herself in the world of theater, facing challenges and rejections head-on as she carves her path to success. Meanwhile, Thomas embarks on a journey of self-discovery, volunteering in war-torn communities and finding purpose in helping others rebuild. As they navigate their separate lives, their experiences intertwine in subtle, serendipitous ways, their connection growing stronger despite their distance. "The Full Moon Pact" is a heartwarming tale of two individuals who find love, purpose, and personal growth against a world reeling from the aftermath of war. It explores the power of human connection, the resilience of the human spirit, and the idea that while our journeys may begin alone, the people we meet shape our paths and give meaning to our lives. The absolute play of my dreams! A gorgeous, romantic tale with the heart of theatre and drama in mind. The two lead characters bring the contrasting glamour of the golden age of theatre and the dreariness and gloom of post-WWII, and intertwine beautifully. Driven by a sweet sense of melodrama, the plays twists and turns in ways you wouldn't expect. A beautiful tale that I wish I could read more of!!!
