  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: coming out

Omg, this play starts of like a drama, but suddenly becomes an over the top dark comedy and I am here for it! This is just so weird and funny and with a powerful message. Or messages? Can't forget how important it is to have a homosexual to dress you for all of your important church events!

I love this play. Donley takes an angst ridden situation and turns into a hilarious dark comedy. It's full of surprises and has 4 great roles. Please produce this now!

Good thing I wasn't drinking while reading, because this play would have prompted more than one spit-take from laughter and oh-no-you-didn't moments. Ian Donley ups the ante in this fresh take on a coming out tale by weaving a satisfying karmic tapestry with comeuppance as the red thread that ties everything up with a nice little bow.

I was hooked from the setting "A family dining room, in a dystopian universe for all we know" - aren't they always. This short play from Donley tackles a serious subject and takes some turns, keeping its audience guessing until the hilarious end.

  • Tyler "T" Lang: coming out

This was definitely a rollercoaster that I didn't want to get off of! I could see this on a mainstage and it getting raving reviews! I loved everything from the message behind it to the glimpse of personality traits in each character in the play. Whoever gets cast as "TOM" will have fun with the role. Great job, Ian!

What a twisted (in a good way) spoof of the typical coming out drama. Mickey's attempt to come out starts a cascade of responses and revelations that leads to a twist on the twist. Great fun!

Heart-felt, funny, raw, quirky, and a hilarious (yet macabre) plot twist to boot; all wrapped up in a wonderful ten-minute piece. Very well done.

Donley's ten-minute "coming out" is absurd in all the right ways! My final thoughts; What the-? Okay? What just happened? Not expecting that twist to come out of nowhere, but it explicitly says the father does wear the dress in the relationship, but not what YOU'd THINK.

    One hell of a job!

  • Alaina Tennant: coming out

This is such a fun scene—typical to begin with, then surprising and absurd, and having one read the scene all over. The characterization is fun, and the dialogue is natural while keeping that satirical feel. The twist is amazing and hilarious!

OMG! I did NOT expect that! Nice job! The dialogue is so real, then the twist just slaps you in the face. Secretly, though...
