"She is not broken". This is an incredibly powerful and theatrical piece that explores how trauma can disrupt a family. I applaud this play for it's centering of the female characters and celebration of women's strength that centers healing rather than trauma. I hope to see this piece staged one day.

Character Information

IMPORTANT CASTING NOTES:

These characters do not need to be cisgender.
These characters do not need to share the same racial backgrounds.
In a dream world (as imagined by the playwright), JAYMA would be mixed-AAPI (or AAPI, not mixed), LEN would be AAPI, and NANETTE could be any race. That may not be possible for every theater. Whatever your actor pool, let this play be where you make space for underrepresented actors, especially ones from the global majority. It is my hope that you make space for them everywhere!
