Wonderful piece! Part satire and part the world we live in, James Binz has written a wonderful monologue that any actress would love to eat up. The piece will make you laugh, at times make you squirm, and keep you engaged throughout. Great work!

Amanda's story is one that will make your heart ache! James has created a character who you can't help but feel for as she talks about her struggles in education and later in her career, and why? Because of her body and what other people think of it! I think its interesting that the time for this piece is listed as 'Any' because given what we know about the struggles of women in the TV and film industry both past and present, its a piece that could easily fit any time period and would still be a powerful performance!
