A complaint about a sexually explicit performance leaves a NJ community college dance team to decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their freedom of expression. A play about the fickle nature of spectatorship and the alchemy of wanting.

Loved this. It really touches on the heartbreak of falling out of love with something that used to feel like your dream and your purpose. And how scary it can feel to yearn for it, still. And I want to see these dances!

I feel like we don't talk about community college much in the theatre. We talk a lot about high school and four-year universities but community colleges don't get their due on the stage. I loved that this play features a diverse group of characters. Some are older than the average college student and one is pregnant. I think this play handles pregnancy in a touching and nuanced way. At its core this is a play about artistic freedom and what we are willing to compromise as creative people.
