This would be so much fun to see on stage. Childhood and adulthood clash and mingle, both in production elements and plot. Two kids seeking to understand the nature of mature content on a tv show also captures both the allure and boredom that can come with growing older.

One great thing about streaming is you can watch films and TV from childhood with greater understanding. How joyous to go back to a time where we thought we understood everything when in truth, we understood... less. In this perfect portrait of childhood, Gill spins a precocious tale of intrigue as two tots embark on the universal childhood pursuit of sneaking grown-up TV. Careful what you wish for, kids... At least you'll have wonders to look forward to and look back on. Like this play!

Absolutely endearing! While their parents sleep, two children explore the forbidden and mysterious world of TV-MA viewing. Maximillian Gill expertly captures the experience of being a child who dares to step slightly outside the bounds of parental guidance to sneak a peek at the world of adulthood, disappointing though it may turn out to be. Also, Evelyn cracks me up.

Oh my God, I cannot love this wonderful little gem of a play enough. Maximilian Gill takes what feels like Pinky and the Brain but as little human kids longing for greater than their station. It flows with hilarity, wit, and no matter how clever or intelligent the children are, this play never loses the child-like wonder of young ones venturing into the unknown world of TV-MA content. A lovely play.

This play is utterly delightful. I just adore these two characters and the rhythm and flow of their dialogue and action. The premise is so simple and well-defined, leaving plenty of space for the characters who are absolutely charming, adorable and sweet. There are several playful moments where underlying mature content underlying becomes evident, but the play remains perfectly innocent. It's a wonderful balance that left me with a warm glow and a smile.

This is a perfect character-based comedy that audiences and actors will love. Maximillian Gill brings to life the frustrations felt by supergeniuses and young tots alike. I also love the its subtle message: Enjoy being a kid while you can, kid. "Mature Audience" will be a crowd favorite wherever it is performed.

If you were ever a fan of Pinky and The Brain, you will adore Evelyn and Benjy, two small children intent on breaking into their mom’s laptop to discover the secrets of adulthood. Evelyn in particular is a comic gem, a hyper-precocious genius with criminal mastermind instincts, trapped in a six-year-old body; her interplay with weary little brother/minion Benjy recalls classic comic pairings like Abbott and Costello. The intensity of focus, almost-right deductive reasoning, and witty sibling interplay are tremendous fun. Read and enjoy.
