Recommendations of Condo Christmas Caper

  • Donald Loftus: Condo Christmas Caper

I had the pleasure of experiencing "Condo Christmas Caper" as Kim Ruyle was developing it. It is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud holiday farce packed with colorful characters, sharp satire, and an infectious sense of fun. It is a terrific play for community theatres, as it has a cast of ten roles that actors would love to play.

What an absolute delight! You might be tempted to find parallels between the dictatorial shenanigans at a condo association and current events, but I recommend you simply enjoy the quirky characters and constant laughs. I also recommend you avoid wearing titanium underwear. I would love to see this staged, and the setting and characters lend themselves to further development as a long-running TV sitcom. Enjoy!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Condo Christmas Caper

Ah, condo politics! This comedy is full of engaging characters: the board president who's mad with power, the swindler, the flat earther, the idealist, etc. Watching them all interact as the residents of Shady Palms try to save holiday cheer from the board president who Will Not Have It is a delightful romp, as characters find and lose (and find again) their way and/or their artwork, discover love, and scratch their equestrian itch. So much fun!

  • Lynn Millar: Condo Christmas Caper

An entertaining tale is woven in the Condo Christmas Caper. Funny side stories as various characters interact. The condo president plots her construction coup while attacking the holidays. Oh, don't go there. Even the flat earth guy knows that. The caper is a fun ride, while being familiar to those who have lived with condo boards.
