This is a gem of a play for anyone who loves period drama, true crime, and fierce feminist storytelling! Mary Amelia and her beloved friend Alice are rich, deeply empathetic characters who come alive from the very first moments. Mary Amelia, in particular, is a bold, complex, and compelling force to be reckoned with; it's an amazing role. The play’s central question is clear and gripping, building toward a thoroughly satisfying climax. I was hooked from start to finish!

This was such an amazing read. I was immediately hooked--it felt like Victorian Fleabag meets a Handmaids Tale. If that makes sense? It was freaking awesome.

I couldn't put this play down! It feels so relevant for out times and it's a terrifying snapshot of the dangers we are facing with women's rights. As a therapist, I was so taken by the archetypal trajectory of the heroine. Bravo Michaelia!
