The Egg: A Comedy

Character Information

This play is set in a world where magic happens and people vomit up blobs of fine art. Casting decisions should be made accordingly.

A cast of eight is sufficient, with an ensemble playing smaller roles and doubling up others. The play can also accommodate a larger cast (like a school production) with less doubling up and with casting actors or puppeteers to play some of the non-human parts (e.g. dolls, an iguana).

The cast also requires at least three actors in the ensemble to comprise the "Doll Army," which communicates via choreographed movements. These are highly visible but nonspeaking parts.
