I was a bit wiped from the news cycle and wanted a moment of joy. Martin gives us a character that radiates joy in herself but gives the spark to others - including me. You’ll feel like dancing after this. Time for the happy playlist.

We should all have a Ginny moment in our lives. To feel joy without care about judgement. Ginny is a gift the the junior/senior prom and a beacon for us all. This is a minute of pure jubilation. May we all get at LEAST a minute of joy like this in our lives.

Ginny is the rarest of gems, a protagonist who drives the action without a word and wins the battle with not a single damn given about her detractors and antagonists! Good for her! In fact, her biggest enemy Mariah's biggest enemy isn't Ginny, it's jealousy... self consciousness... a need for amorphous approval from imaginary judges. Fortunately, boyfriend Isaac is there to watch while everyone is dancing and pluck the wallflowers. It's a great 60 seconds!

What a terrific title! The characters come from all directions and end up on the same page. The dialogue is tight and true to life. The story line carries the day and shows us the value of pure joy and its effect on everyone around. This would make a nice short piece for high school actors. 10/11/2024

Martin's one-minute play perfectly captures how infectious joy can be and wonderfully demonstrates why we all need much more of it. This would be super-fun to perform and is especially great for teen performers and audiences.
