South South Alabama

by Matt Shvyrkov

A graduation party in the playground of a trailer park in Northwest Florida descends into carnage when three Church-Lady Witches cast a spell to seduce the young party-goers into sin—only then to summon The Preacher Man, an impossibly tall alligator, to exact their divine retribution.

A really great play about living in the South. Loved the differentiation between the church world and the trailer park world. A play that's all about what happens when we aren't real about who we are. A play about wanting to do better than the generations before us. A fantastic ensemble piece where the location feels like a whole other character.
