Raised for the Slaughter

by Samuel Cooley

For the pigs, life on the farm is peaceful and happy. That is until one of the survivors of a rumored slaughter starts proclaiming the endtimes. Two pigs interrupt their afternoon nap to discuss whether there's any merit to these warnings. Meanwhile, the slaughter house is being prepared and three farmers make their rounds.

Raised for the Slaughter

Much like Orwell's "Animal Farm," this ten-minute has a lot to say in such few pages. The ending packs a heavy punch that will make you sit back in your seat and exhale. I commend Cooley for his quick wit, as well as his ability to tie such dark matter to cute little pigs.
