Everybody loves some 70s soft-rock lyrics, and if this were simply a parade of them stitched together as a romantic comedy pastiche it would still be a fun time. But Erin Moughon has much more than that on her mind, and ESCAPE (THE PINA COLADA SONG) is a sly investigation of the identities we choose for ourselves - and how the ways we make those choices get us into trouble - fueled by whip-smart comic construction. Delightful.
