What happens when your first love comes crawling back? Pain, regret... mistakes were made. Can you blame bad behavior on bad timing? Is a 30-second apology enough to elicit forgiveness for 30 years of grief? DEBRA A. COLE gives audiences a front row seat as Liz and Daniel navigate these questions. THE LETTER gives us a lot to think about, including what "happily ever after" looks like irl and whether time really heals all wounds. Another strong female character from COLE and I am here for it!

It took a sure hand to write this play - a situation many have experienced. A young couple split and 30 years later, they make of it what they will. It doesn’t go exactly the way you think it will Hollywood, you know) but is real as can be. Hurray for Liz!!! Cole has written a piece that sheers off cliche to make it a good solid play.

BEAUTIFUL! Grief can linger for years after someone harms us. The chance for healing is welcome.
