Nobody listens to each other in this play, and that's for the best. Jack Levine's "Two Cookies Please" is a rapid-fire farce that's perfect for older actors and a laugh-out-loud riot. Audiences will love the ride. Bravo!

With snappy dialogue as characters speak to and past each other, Levine delivers a sincere and humorous play about misunderstood intentions and the importance of coffee and cookies when there's a chill creeping just outside the door.

I repeat I love the symbolism in Jack Levine’s work. The ritual of the coffee, the choice of life or biscuits, the open door that lets the chaos enter. This is a very playful, sensitive and powerful play about the small things that keep us feeling alive within our safety nest. And underneath all, the desperate need for connection. Thank you, Jack.

A surprise visitor with nefarious intent gets sucked into the private little world of an elderly couple, where a chocolate chip cookie and a hot cup of coffee (with cream) are enough to throw him off his game. Like the visitor, I was smitten by this couple who are befuddlingly charming.

I love Jack Levine's short TWO COOKIES PLEASE. Howie and Rosie are so relatable - I'd love to know them IRL. Poor Jack is left bewildered but somehow, I'll think he'll return for more cookies and hot chocolate! The dialogue is crisp and the humor hits. I'd really like to see this staged - it will certainly please audiences.

Ha, Howie and Rosey are such a wonderful and funny couple! A quiet evening of near domestic bliss is disturbed by an unwelcome and dangerous intruder. I see those couple as English, because like many other scenarios, this situation can be resolved with tea and biscuits! And i simply love Rosey's story telling of her little adventure to the local shop. Great fun!

A very funny farce here with a lot of laugh lines and just the right amount of physical comedy as well. This would definitely be entertaining to see staged!

Two Cookies Please is a hilarious farce, packed with fast-paced humor and delightful misunderstandings. The elderly couple's comedic confusion creates an entertaining dynamic, and the young man’s frustration adds a touch of sympathy. A perfect blend of wit and chaos!

Jack Levine's play TWO COOKIES PLEASE is about 3 hapless people caught in a loop of blissful misunderstanding and frustration. You feel a bit of sympathy for the bad guy, who's just trying to do his job while dealing with an elderly couple barely able to hold a conversation before forgetting where they've been, how they got there and what's next. I'd love to see more stories with this couple, assuming they didn't freeze to death.

03.13.25 - A laugh out loud red-light fire-drill of a play! All the characters seem to be both engaged in conversation with each other while having completely different ones at the same time. I had a blast with this, and would love to see it staged with age-appropriate actors. I love me any play with good banter, and this has it in spades. A winner from jack Levine.
