JACQUELYN FLOYD-PRISKORN’s play, “A Woman Of Murdee”, is a wonderful, fun, laugh out loud mystery/thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed this play and have no doubt an audience will be delighted to see it. The comedy was just as I love it! Quirky, witty, wild. You will have a great time at the pageant as the cast performs, with the brilliant writing of the playwright. Bravo, Jacquelyn!

The Ms. Sterling Sliver pageant – what a great premise! It provides a hilarious, zany romp for seven mature females and one old geezer. This is great fun for cast and audience alike. All the acts are great, but the Lolly and Dolly bit is priceless. Terrific.

Goofy, good, physical fun...including a ventriloquist (!) and wait, it's also a murder mystery, complete with a coffee-slinging "detective" and some serious HOA violations.

This is an excellent piece for older actors to explore. Think Clue but set in a beauty pageant. It's a murder mystery that feels fresh, especially with its major twist that will catch you off-guard and make you laugh at the same time. Each character has a moment to shine, making this a play that will stand out in any theater company's season. Produce this play!

What a gift for a bunch of comedic older women this play is! A beauty pageant for the over 50 crowd takes a turn for the murderous, and the ladies try to figure out who the killer is while waiting for the cops to show up. Chock full of jokes and even an offstage character who interacts through lighting (I love it!), this play is a hilarious good time!

Right from the intros to these characters I was enjoying a giggle! From there this fabulous gift of a play just keeps on giving (as so many of Jacquie's plays do!) The play offers several wonderfully written characters to perform and a fabulously funny story to bring to life! Its a directors dream, an audiences wonder and a performers joy to be involved in! If you are looking for something to celebrate the roles of women and have fun while doing so this is the play for you!

Actors are going to have a great deal of fun presenting this wacky all-female sendup of beauty pageants during which a murder takes place as each contestant demonstrates her "talent." Every character can be mined for laughs, particularly Merle the take-no-prisoners one-armed stagehand. Audiences will love it.

Well, that was dizzy, daffy fun! The hysterical pageant spoof evolves into a delicious murder mystery spoof without losing the lunacy of the pageant and its distinctly funny characters. This play offers a wonderful opportunity for senior actors to display their comic chops. It also offers audiences a rollicking good time.

03.31.25 - I always know I'm in for a rollicking good time with a Jacquie Floyd play, and this talent show/murder mystery is just that. Quirky characters, absurd situations, fast-paced banter and some great meta bits sprinkled throughout keep this thing moving like an out-of-control freight train. But of course, Jacquie is in complete control of this lunacy and she knows exactly what she's doing. The audience is gonna love this play. Just keep Merle away from the cupcakes...

A wonderfully funny opportunity for actors of a certain age! Funny - and with a great twist, this piece should be in the summer programs of community theatres everywhere. Jacquie Floyd Priskhorn’s A WOMAN OF MURDER is a sure-fire audience-pleasing winner. Someone produce this quick and be the first of many!
