A gentle and touching two-hander that is perfect for a variety of audiences, actors, and theaters. The natural language and drama creates a powerful experience and earned emotions. The kind of complex and sophisticated writing that makes it look so easy.

Too often, we are told that theater but be about the conflict. However, it is a rare jewel when we are given a script about a moment. Character-based, much more of a character-driven drama, it warms the heart to see these two old friends reconnect in line. Both simple in its staging, but complex in its delivery, it takes a pair of very special actors to execute this. My personal favorite from the 2025 Midwest Dramatists Conference, I hope to have the opportunity to see this staged.

10.24.25 - A true charmer by Emmy Kreilkamp. Sometimes, looking for enlightenment doesn't need to involve a search for it. It could be right where you are, with the people you're with as long as you're open to it. We get to see Rachel and Andy as they stand in line waiting for their chance to receive a supposedly life-changing hug. Their conversation throughout is enlightening in itself, and when they have their together moment, it's satisfying as all the hugs from all the gurus could ever be.
