In the genre-busting “Priest Procedural”, two of the R.C.C.’s Finest play good cop/bad cop with a demon from the Stygian depths to save young girl’s soul. Greg Mandryk’s ear for stylistic dialogue and sharp sense of humor are put to good use in this relentless, farcical horror parody that barely gives the audience time to breathe between laughs. Who knew the unholy took their Java with almond milk? As original as it is funny.

06.27.25 - Greg Mandryk is as master of both horror and comedy plays, so when he combines the two, it's a can't miss combo that audiences will love. Law and Order meets The Exorcist. And like the most delicious Reese's Cup, the two tastes go great together. This kind of play is right up my alley and I was lucky enough to be in a reading of it so I know first hand the amount of laughs it got. This is Mandryk at his best.

Mandryk's premise for this short piece is pure comedy gold: An exorcism performed good cop, bad cop style. The tropes of both the horror genre and the police procedural are interwoven in a consistently witty manner, and there's nothing funnier than watching a demon from the depths play victim. Super fun!
