We learn a remarkable amount about Moira and Sheila in a short time in this illuminating look at life in the mature years and the chance to start again. Read and produce - and get those singles ready for a good time at the strip bar!

Poor, reserved Sheila doesn’t stand a chance against persistent, fun-loving Moira, who is set on including her friend in this “scandalous” celebration. A terrific premise, loads of humor, and I love that Paul Donnelly provides actresses “of a certain age” a chance to really shine. The Bachelorette Party is a winner!

We all have a different level of tolerance for change, but for everyone, there’s a point at which change becomes threatening. For Sheila, who’s in her 70s, the thought of going to a strip club for a bachelorette party is a bridge too far. I love stories with seniors, and Donnelly gives us a fun story here that’s a testament to the ability of seniors to get past their fears and embrace change. Go Sheila!

This short comedy is a reminder that peer pressure never stops - not even when you're in your 70s and your friend is trying to convince you to go to a strip club for a bachelorette party. What a fun play for two older actresses! Instead of dying of dementia (as so many characters for older actors), they are arguing over whether or not they should go to a strip club to celebrate their friend's upcoming wedding. I love, love, love seeing older characters living like this!

High school never ends, apparently. Paul Donnelly's play about a septuagenarian goading her friend into having a bit of raunchy fun is delightfully endearing and for anyone looking for a short play with roles for older women, it's an absolute godsend!

A perfect play about never settling or giving into what the world and your mother and daughter would say about you bringing a little change into your day to day. This heartfelt piece delivers with such sincerity that you care so much about these two women and whether or not Sheila will be persuaded to to the Bachelorette party or not, providing that value of friendship and never being alone as we go through this world.

Funny, feisty, and full of heart, The Bachelorette Party celebrates friendship, aging, and letting loose. Donnelly’s sharp dialogue and playful setup make this a hilarious and endearing comedy with irresistible charm.
