Oooh this short keeps you hooked! Alison has the thing Paul needs desperately and immediately (such a good setup!) but Paul screwed her over years ago and now that the tables have turned, she’s not certain she wants to help him out. I was immediately engaged, and I would love for this play to be even longer, to find out what’s so important about the book and what they’re each going to do after that cliffhanger ending!

11/10/2025 - A gripping ten-minute thriller. The characters are rich and I loved hearing all about their relationship (past and current) as the piece went on. The stakes are high, the dialogue is rich, and the ending left me wanting more and more. Perfect for a night of ten-minute plays which will leave every member of the audience talking. Well done!

Dan West has created yet another taut, incisive short thriller with "Overdue". There's enough subtext and backstory from both characters in this short piece to fill a good crime novel. Yes, the writer has left me wanting more. Namely, a full production.
