  • Neil Radtke: Plus One

Plus One is a sweet, funny play that reminds us love and companionship don’t have an expiration date. Irv and Sheila have the kind of chemistry that makes their conversations feel effortless, with plenty of laughs mixed into some genuinely touching moments. By the end, I found myself rooting for both of them and smiling at the hopeful note the play leaves us on.

  • Dan Taube: Plus One

Beautiful little play that really captured my heart. It is a love story of two seniors in the Hebrew home, who are close but according to one of them “not close enough “. The dialogue is dynamic. Both vulnerable and witty. The characters have you rooting for them by the end. Great work! Very enjoyable read.

  • Donald Loftus: Plus One

A charming and heartfelt two-hander, Plus One balances wit and tenderness with ease. Morey Norkin crafts lively, authentic dialogue between Irv and Sheila, capturing both the humor and vulnerability of a late-in-life connection. The play’s warmth never feels sentimental, instead offering a refreshing, honest look at companionship, aging, and second chances. Uplifting, funny, and quietly moving.

  • Danielle Wirsansky: Plus One

Flirty, sharp, and unexpectedly tender, Plus One is a delightful seniors’ rom-com with bite. Norkin balances sardonic humor and genuine pathos as two residents navigate desire, dignity, and the messy hope of “what’s next.”

  • Susan Middaugh: Plus One

A fun play about a flirty woman in her 70s, a resident in the Hebrew Home, who would like to establish a friendship with benefits with a male resident. She has just been named first runner up in a beauty pageant there and is hoping the winner may die so she can read the lunch menu over the loudspeaker each morning. That's what the winner gets. Hopeful, flinty, flirty and sardonic. He can't stand the idea of another resident in a bathing suit as part of the beauty pageant. A winner.

Aw bless! This is Norkin at his best, plenty of understated humour with enough pathos sprinkled in. Both characters are so believable and their relationship is perfectly flawed.
I can see a long, happy and loving future ahead of them.... well maybe not so long.
    Love it!

MOREY NORKIN’s “Plus One” is a beautiful little play of two seniors who have a connection which could become romantic. The play is a wonderful, feel-good romantic comedy. Two older actors will have fun performing this play.
