Hypnotic. Disturbing. Eerie. Relentless. This gripping techno thriller takes us on a wild ride across space and time, effortlessly altering reality and then altering it again and again. The witty use of MacGuffins is just one of the many treats this script holds. I am in awe of the wit and imagination demonstrated throughout.

If you enjoy gasping and talking to yourself while reading, you are going to love this twisty, weird, sci-fi thriller, which successfully creates the most analog version of a story that's ultimately told through (and inside of...?) analog tech. Structurally and plot-wise, it has a fantastic engine, introducing questions as quickly as it answers them. It's simultaneously intimate and...some definition of voyeuristic?! You feel guilty for watching AND looking away! Weird as hell and wonderful!

Oh. My. God! This play made my jaw drop to the floor! Daniel Prillaman has given us such a enticing and dangerous thriller about a young guy trying to make sense of a disappearance case using technology from the past, while also emerging into it through intense concentration and also facing torture! The stage directions and set design are truly immaculate and captivating! The fact that I inspired Daniel to write this play somehow is crazy! Would love to see this be produced! Amazing work Daniel!

I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. A wonderful theatrical thriller that should be on stage again if not for the first time. It really fleshes out how thrillers don't have to just be in films, but on stage. Such a wonderful concept and execution.

  • Ross Tedford Kendall: Watch After Me

A heck of a horror/thriller premise, executed with stagecraft that only live theatre can provide. The story is at once simple, a man trying to sort through a mystery using obsolete technology, bringing it to light in our digital world, and yet moves into both complex questions of reality and a very human grounding on what someone would do if they were confronted with this situation. A masterful piece and I would love to see this staged somewhere.

I got to hear the first 26 pages of this read a while back, and I have been waiting to find out how in the world it was going to end. It is so deeply weird and twisted and suspenseful that I truly had no idea how it would possibly all resolve in the end. What a play! And what a fun concept, to have an actor playing someone on videotape, being fast-forwarded and rewound in places. What a great physicality challenge for an actor, and what fun visuals for an audience!
