While preparing a class of high-schoolers for religious Confirmation, a Catholic priest coerces impressionable teen Andrew to film hellish “scare films” for the church. The films build community among the kids, but grow increasingly propagandistic and darkly violent. As the lines between fiction and reality blur, one final rapturous act sends Andrew into a moral purgatory where he's forced to question his own personal beliefs.
