How satisfying to see creepy, nerdy Chuck get his just desserts. Grace is the perfect acerbic avenging angel. The dialogue is trenchantly funny and the character development is thoroughly engaging. I certainly enjoyed my visit to this diner.

A short, sweet and achingly funny play told from the waitresses point of view. What I find so appealing about Marj O'Neill-Butler's "Keeping Score" is how it avoids cliche as well as the dreaded "pat" ending. Delightfully humorous with just the touch of an edge. Nice!

Marj O'Neill Butler's Keeping Score is a clever play with plum roles for a trio of mature actors. The play has great one liners, deft physical comedy, and a satisfying twist at the end. Kiss my grits, Chuck.

Playwright Marj O'Neill-Butler has created a hilarious play, with a great lead character, Grace, a waitress with a mission...to call out the sleaziness of Chuck, a serial dater still living at home with his elderly parents. (And quickly, we can see why.) Grace's physical movements provide much of the humor, and the payoff is apt and priceless. A perfect play for older actors, and sure to be produced.

Never cross a waitress/owner, it won't end well for you. Marj O'Neill-Butler proves the rule in this brisk back-and-forth comedy with strong characters, lots of action, a verbal takedown worthy of an MMA match, and a satisfying button. "Keeping Score" will be an audience favorite wherever it's produced.

A fun short play that celebrates women supporting women, with some fantastic one-liners along the way. Grace is all of us! Playwright Marj O'Neill-Butler has crafted another hit with wonderful roles for mature actors.

A wonderful opportunity for older actors! Very funny play with a waitress character that absolutely steals the show. The writing is crisp and humorous and the characters very human. All in their own way. I highly recommend you read (and produce) this fantastic play. You won’t be sorry.

Hahaha, I now have a new favourite waitress! Ironically named Grace, her grace has worn totally away when it comes to Chuck, and she's hilarious!
Aside, this is a fun and quirky play, snappy and quick witted. I would love to see this staged!

A brief, breezy riff on the classic date from hell in which it's all in the timing. This play offers just enough insight into the three characters to leave you wanting to know (and see) more. Highly enjoyable throughout.

Another surefire crowd-pleaser from O'Neill-Butler, the uncontested queen of comic senior shorts. The ironically-named Grace is a part older female actors will be clamoring to play - a crusty anti-guardian angel, fed up with pathetic Chuck's antics and determined to protect the unsuspecting Molly from his arrested romantic fantasies. This one is going to "grace" a lot of 10-minute festivals.
