A mysterious piece, full of symbols and archetypes ripe for exploration. Levine's older and younger characters seek success, and this is the biggest mystery of all, prompting the audience to ask how they define success and how they -- personally, historically, generationally -- go about achieving it.

Jack Levine pens a poetic allegory about failure, success and their connection. The minimal setting, the minimal props, the choice of symbolic names and the narrator's poetic speech create a highly experimental, atmospheric and thought-provoking play.

There are a lot of interesting ideas in this play, and it definitely stands out as an experimental form that should intrigue audiences. Would definitely be something to see this staged. It gives much to directors to consider in terms of staging. Many ways to perform this, I would think, which gives the piece real versatility and availability in terms of 10-minute festivals. A good read, to say the least!
