Special Delivery is a fast, character-driven workplace comedy set inside an independent singing telegram / party entertainment business.

Diane Rodriguez has spent decades transforming a scrappy, anything-goes operation into a professional, kid-friendly enterprise that just barely stays afloat. When a longtime performer from the company’s wilder past ignites a viral backlash with a too-spicy performance at the wrong party, the business is suddenly at risk.

Warm, sharp, and deeply human, Special Delivery explores loyalty, aging in the gig economy, and the tension between polish and authenticity, all through an ensemble of performers trying to make a living by making people happy.

Luck (a monologue)

by Eden Lane

Synopsis

A woman reflects on a lifetime of being told she is “lucky.” Living alone. Independent. Unburdened. Luck (a monologue) is an unsentimental, sharply observed meditation on aging, clarity, and self-determination. With humor and precision, the piece reframes independence not as fortune, but as something earned when no one was watching.
