Nicholas Dunn

Nicholas Dunn is a writer, actor, filmmaker and teacher based in Salt Lake City. He is the winner of the Risk Theatre Modern Tragedy Competition and the Marius P. Hanford Award for Playwriting. He has written and directed several short films and commercial campaigns, including the award winning short films ART and FACE TO FACE, and the award-winning commercial spot I AM DOWNTOWN for the Salt Lake Downtown Alliance. He also works in the film industry as a script coordinator, most notably on HBO's MOSAIC directed by Steven Soderbergh. His screenplay THANKS DAD was recently purchased by Reintree Films/1550 Films.

Nick holds a BFA in acting from the University of Utah, and an MFA in Playwriting & Screenwriting from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and was a participant in the Salt Lake Film Society's Screenwriter’s Program, co-sponsored by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. He currently teaches in the theatre department at the University of Utah and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
