Rosa Fernandez (she/her) lives in Buffalo, NY full time with her husband and two children. She is an associate member of the Dramatist Guild and attended Brooklyn College for a BFA in Theater. Her play, Curse of the Puerto Ricans was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and runner up in the MetLife Nuestras Voces Playreading Series for Repertorio Español and made the 2020 Kilroys list. Curse of the Puerto Ricans received its world premiere in Dallas, Texas at Bishop Arts Theatre Center. A Skeptic and a Bruja received a rolling World Premiere in Sarasota at Urbanite Theatre, then in Tampa Bay at freeFall Theatre. Rosa cares deeply about creating theatre that is inclusive and timely and hopes to be a voice in the theatre world for those that who need one.
