Bayla Travis (she/her) is an internationally producedlesbian playwright who began writing and directing at NYC's famed WOW CafeTheatre. Her plays have been seen at the Drill Hall Theatre in London and in several UK cities, the Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney, and in theaters across the U.S. Her new full-length drama “Safe Sane Consensual” received a staged reading at Highways Performance Space in Los Angeles in 2025. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and loves teaching writing of all genres. Bayla is a member of the Dramatist Guild and serves on the executive committee of Honor Roll! an advocacy group for women+ playwrights over 40 whose goal is inclusion in theater. She makes her home in Oakland, CA.
